Average startup CEO salary decreased in 2024 to $141,000, down slightly from 2023’s $142,000. This decrease is mainly driven by the difficulty in the Series B and beyond funding market – CEOs who raised large, later-stage rounds in the bubble are cutting salaries to keep their companies afloat. Whereas the average seed CEO salaries increased from $129,000 to $132,000, Series B CEO salaries decreased from $251,000 to $227,000.
